Symphysis pubis dysfunction is a very painful disabling condition that some women suffer during pregnancy. We can help support you through this. We examine the pelvis to assess the degree of instability and give you detailed instruction on how to prevent further aggravation. We may use gentle manual therapy, a symphysis pubis belt and/or crutches depending on the severity.
Urinary and faecal incontinence can be an embarrassing and debilitating problem. We assess the cause of the problem via detailed history taking and pelvic floor assessment. Our treatments include pelvic floor exercises with EMG biofeedback, advice on diet and fluid intake, bladder diaries and drills as well as muscle stimulation if appropriate. We have close links with Andrew Hextall, Urogynaecololgist for further investigation and possible drug or surgical intervention.
