Acupuncture (Chinese)

Our acupuncturist, Amanda Lanchbery, trained for three years at the London Institute of Five Element Acupuncture under acclaimed acupuncture master, Gerad Kite. She is a fully accredited and insured member of the British Acupuncture Council, and has undergone further training in obstetric and fertility acupuncture.

How does it work?

Acupuncture works on the theory that energy channels, called meridians, run throughout the body. When the energy flows freely health is maintained. When the energy does not flow freely blockages occur, causing ill health and imbalance.

How can it be used?

Acupuncture can be used to support the treatment of many conditions, such as fertility issues & IVF, pregnancy, menopause, anxiety, depression, stress, fatigue, chronic pain and insomnia, and encourages physical and emotional wellbeing. It has been steadily increasing in popularity worldwide since the mid-twentieth century, and can be used effectively on its own, alongside conventional medicine, or in cases where conventional treatment has proved unsuccessful. Acupuncture is recommended by NICE, the National Institute for Clinical Excellence, for treatment of back pain.

Who is it for?

Acupuncture is considered suitable for all ages including babies and children.
