Focus on Woman's Health

This month at Redbourn we are focusing on Women’s Health. So, we wanted to give you an introduction to the fantastic new therapists who have joined our team and to give you the low down on a new exercise course that we are starting this month called ” Love your Core, it Starts with Your Pelvic Floor!”

This course will run from 24th February 2016 for five weeks and will be run by our very own Chartered  Physiotherapist Sarah Cameron. Sarah has a special interest in Women’s Health and has over twenty years of experience in this field.

One of our new therapists is Sarah Leonard. Her area of expertise is Cognitive Hypnotherapy which she uses to treat a number of women’s issues such as:

  • Premenstrual tension (PMT) and heavy periods
  • Irregular cycles

  • Pregnancy, labour and birth
  • Fibroids
  • Menopause

  • Eating Disorders and more

Because Sarah’s tailored approach uses a range of proven techniques to gently but clearly identify and respond to the actual root causes of your issues, rather than just generically treating your symptoms, this means that she can work with you to help free you from the issues that are impacting on your wellbeing. Sarah offers a safe, client based approach, with a confidential plan bespoke to your solution state.

Introducing Amanda Lanchbery – Acupuncturist

Acupuncture can be used safely and effectively to treat a wide range of women’s health issues such as hormonal imbalance, fertility issues, pregnancy, menopausal symptoms, anxiety & depression, as well as insomnia, fatigue and chronic pain.

Acupuncture is a health system that encourages physical and emotional wellbeing, working on the theory that when energy, or “Qi”, within the body flows freely, health is maintained.
Blocked energy can cause ill health and imbalance, and this can be treated by inserting small needles into specific acupuncture points on the body. Many patients report an improvement in wellbeing on top of any initial reason for having treatment. Amanda Lanchbery practices Five Element Acupuncture in London and Hertfordshire and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and the Acupuncture for Childbirth Team in Hertfordshire.
