What is THRIVE?

Thrive is a ground-breaking lifestyle programme empowering you to take control of your health. It focuses on therapeutic levels of carbohydrate reduction to give you the best opportunity to prevent progression and even reverse type 2 diabetes and other lifestyle conditions. The programme is based in Redbourn Herts and is led by a registered dietitian, chartered physiotherapist and registered cognitive therapist.

The programme will help you to :

  • Take control of your health
  • Reverse your diabetes or reduce your risk of developing it
  • Lose weight and reduce your waist circumference if necessary
  • Reduce blood glucose levels
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Improve your cholesterol profile
  • Reduce medication (with supervision from your GP)
  • Reduce the risk of developing further health complications such as heart attacks, strokes, cancer and dementia

The Thrive Course has literally been life changing!
The Thrive Course has literally been life changing for me and has set me on a road of improving health and well-being.  The starting point was information about the way our bodies work particularly how we process the food we eat.  That knowledge has proved indispensable in terms of understanding how, what and when to eat for maximum health.
As a consequence I have lost 4 stone in weight, three inches from my waistline and also the migraine headaches I had suffered daily for over thirty years.  General aches and pains are vastly improved, I sleep better and have more energy than I have had in a long time.
I would heartily recommend Thrive to anyone whose health is at risk from obesity, has metabolic syndrome or is pre-diabetic as I was.
